First Look| Too Faced Love Flush Blushes

When Too Faced released their Love Flush Blush range ($26 each) in six different shades, I was not a viable candidate for blush hoarding. After all, I had a large z-palette of Tarte blushes sitting dormant in the back of my closet!

Since purging, however, my blush collection was looking sad and drab. I timidly ventured onto YT to see live swatches of these blushes and fell in love. They looked so creamy! So pigmented! So many rave reviews!

Too Faced claims that these blushes are longwear, fade-proof, and smudgeproof and stays on for 16 hours! Those are bold claims considering how Tarte blushes are indeed longwearing but very dry to the touch.

Although there was a good range of colors, I had to go with my two favorites in terms of blush colors: a "my cheeks but better and goes with everything" mauve and a "my cheeks are glittery peaches" color that flatters my olive skin.

Someone says the packaging reminds them of Polly Pockets, which is a 90s reference I don't understand even if I did spend the later half of my childhood in the U.S. Must be some kind of toy or trinket *shrugs*

The pattern is adorable, but a savage swirl of your brush may erase it from the pan. The packaging is sleek, cute, and childish. The magnetic closure is a little hard to pry open, and I dropped my Baby Love within seconds of trying to open it. Yet, as soft as the blushes are, it didn't crumble into a thousand pieces! Magic!

They picked up easily with a brush or fingers, was ultra pigmented as expected, but didn't have an insane amount of kick up (think Illamasqua formulation.) They're very blend-able on the skin as well and doesn't drag or skip.

To confirm my suspicions that I always buy dupes of blushes, I compared both Flush Blushes with other colors in my collection.
Below from left to right: Milani Luminoso, TF I Will Always Love You, TF Baby Love, Tarte Exposed, Milani Tea Rose.

Luminoso is strangely....more pink! It looks orange/peach in pan to me. I Will Always Love You may be a dupe for NARS Orgasm but the shimmer is very finely milled and doesn't look like chunks of sparkles on the face, even in day light. Baby Love is the coolest out of my mauve/barely there blush colors. However, it looks very similar to Exposed or Tea Rose on my cheeks so the difference is negligible. It may be good for fair to light skin with cooler undertones who found Exposed too muddy/ruddy.

As for the long wearing claim, these blushes definitely lived up to expectations. I used a light hand for application and it still looked lively and fresh after a full day of work, which is just enough time for me.

Hold me, I think I found a new favorite blush formula! Nyuuuuu *throws monies at Too Faced*
