At the moment I'm in Orange County with less than a week until move-in to my new studio and the start of my new job in San Jose. Between all of the moving and packing, I managed to find time to stop by my Rite-Aid to look for the new Covergirl foundation with Katy Perry as the spokesperson. I already know the limited shade range means it will turn orange/pink on me but I wanted to test the formulation for you guys.
Not only did I find it brand spankin' new on the counter, I also stumbled upon the L'oreal Collection Privee nude lipsticks! I saw these blowing up in the UK blogosphere and knew it would be a while until I could get my hands on them. I picked up Eva's, Julliane's, and Doutzen's nudes as I figured they would be the most flattering/passable on me.
And, as if possessed by the demonic power of the raging sun of SoCal, I picked up the cult favorite Jergens Natural Glow daily moisturizer (my tube is on its last leg) and La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 sunscreen. I hear that the formulation is ultra lightweight and won't disturb the finish or texture of foundation on top. I'm not crazy enough to lay out in the sun to tan anymore and the Jergens does a great job at giving my pale belly and thighs a great tan.
Finally I picked up a back-up tube of the L'oreal Magic Lumi primer. I'm not even finished with my first tube but the finish of this stuff is an exact dupe for MAC Strobe Liquid for half the price. Not to mention that my (now) drier skin feels moisturized and happy with this even if I'm wearing a longwearing foundation.
Only a few more days until I'm settled in San Jose! Woohoo!
