Collection| Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain and Matte Balm

Here is my collection of Revlon Colorburst pencils in the Matte Balm and Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain lines, in all sticky tape glory. It's modest and missing the Lacquer Balms (hated, gave them away) but I find that it's still one too many for me to rotate on a daily basis. I reach for these when I want a quick pop of color before heading out to do my errands. The Balm Stains don't last too long so I don't bring them to the office but they do stain your lips. It's like the layer of color comes off first.

They retail for only around 7 to 9 dollars at most drugstores, so it doesn't hurt to collect them. I had the entire Balm Stain collection at one point but decided to pare it down to only those I use the most. They all have a minty tingling feel on your lips and definitely smell like mint too, but I don't mind.

From left to right: Matte- Shameless, Standout, Mischievous and Balm Stain- Honey, Lovesick, Sweetheart.

Indirect Sunlight. There's Missy, my former landlord's pup. She's around 3 months old in this picture...stubborn as hell still and really really cute when she waddles around.

Direct sunlight. It burrrrns. These are filled into a square so some took more passes than others but as you can see they are really opaque and don't come off patchy on the lips if you've moisturized property.

My favorite at the moment is Mischievous...so pastel and neon at the same time and perfect for spring. Love! Honey is also a good LMBB shade and the pinks on the right are absolutely divine in the summer. Standout is a new addition to my collection but I'm already smitten. It's really good as a red basic and you can keep it in your bag for touch ups.

I have like the concept of these until I realize that they are weird to press against your lips and I have to really work to get rid of the pencil lip so that it rounds down to something more substantial. I haven't ever wandered to another brand because I don't care too much for these, but I'd love to hear suggestions for something that's more moisturizing while still being opaque and in pencil form.

Thanks for looking! xo Be
