And yet I didn't wander across their Goldilux pigment without purpose and determination to find the next ultra-shimmery gold eyeshadow. I've never been a huge fan of loose pigments (very mess, much dust, so spill, wow) but since I knew I wouldn't be rocking a bold gold in the day time, I figured the extra work associated with loose pigments isn't too bad if I'm prepping my face for events.
I got mine on Ebay for less than 11 dollars, since it was sold out on the Sugarpill website.
So beautiful! It was hard to see what the color was from swatches online, but in real life it looks like an antique gold in pot and quite bright on the lids.
There's no strainer or sifter with this baby, so please exercise caution and use from the cap when you can to minimize excessive product and fallout. I found that by using a dampened flat packing brush with a firm patting (not rubbing!) motion, there is zero fallout. Even with a dry brush and a light windshield motion I could clean up what little fallout there was with some scotch tape. This method gave less of an intense "foiled" look and more of a lovely wash of shimmer similar to UD Half Baked or Lorac Gold.
Wear time, pigmentation, and every category you may wish to judge it on will get a perfect score from me. It looks phenomenal alone or smoked out with a matte black. Of course, the mess is something to get used to but I found that it hasn't gotten everywhere on my vanity.
Overall, I think this pigment has the least amount of fall out on the lids EVAH. Unlike my other adventures with loose shadows, this one doesn't seek to take over the world one surface at a time. I really enjoy taking my time to use it, and it will probably last me a lifetime. Winning!
