Every time Colourpop comes out with a new range of products, I can't help but to fill my cart up for free shipping (easy!) and try out a bunch. Their newest release of Ultra Satin Lips ($6 each) are perfect for those who want to hop on the liquid lipstick wagon but can't afford to walk into public with shriveled corpse lips.
I picked up Tansy, The Rabbit, Echo Park, Cozy, and Frick n Frack. All flippin' gorgeous with an amazing formula for the price.
I wouldn't say they are true liquid lipsticks in the traditional (matte) sense, but they are very long lasting and stain the lips well. Reapplication throughout the day is a breeze if it happens to transfer on your coffee mug or wear off evenly after a meal. I can get about 4 hours of solid wear without chapped, tight lips and absolutely no bleeding outside of lip lines. I would say that they're a satin finish but can be blotted down to a matte.
From left to right: Tansy, Frick n Frack, Echo Park, The Rabbit, Cozy. My favorites are Tansy, a deep brown with a yellow undertone, and The Rabbit (HELLO UD X GWEN FIREBALL DUPE ALERT). These swatches are one swipe over bare skin. They're all very pigmented.

Excuse my DERANGED hair, but here is The Rabbit on the lips.
While these aren't the matte liquid lipsticks that have been trending recently, they're a great compromise for drier lips and dirt cheap if you decide that you don't prefer them. Honestly, I like them a littttle more than Colourpop's OG matte formulation. Perhaps they could re-release Bumble, Beeper, and Trap in this comfy formula instead? Hint? Hint?
