Review| House of Lashes Eyelash Adhesive

The House of Lashes Eyelash Adhesive ($8) is life changing. Game changing. Mind blowing. I haven't had such ease with false eyelashes since...ever!

I had seen many YouTubers and bloggers rave about the product, but since it was an indie brand, I wasn't sure if it was genuinely loved by these women or if it was all a grand ole marketing scam. I figured since DesiMakeup loves House of Lashes Iconic eyelashes and shipping was cheap, I wouldn't be losing much if I picked up a pair and two tubes of the lash glue.

Let me drive the point home: I will never use another lash glue ever again.

First of all, and most importantly, this stuff does NOT smell like a rotten fish cake (ahem, DUO, ahem). It smells like a faintly artificial flower, but the smell dissipates soon after the glue dries. I use to tough it out and use Duo every morning to apply my false lashes and hold my breath the entire time.

After some time, I could no longer stand the HUGE opening of DUO's lash glue tube that spurted out massive amounts of glue all over my tweezers, false lashes, and fingers. This made it a pain to even think about falsies on a daily basis, so I reserved the trouble for special occasions and events. The clear version looked like dried snot on my lashes, and I picked up two big tubes. Fail.

The House of Lashes version goes on with a faint iridescence but truly dries clear.

I have also tried Revlon's version with a similar paintbrush applicator, but the bristles were too thin and didn't pick up the right amount of product. The House of Lashes version picks up the right amount of glue every time.

It also dries very quickly. I can apply a thin layer to the band, wave the lashes around and blow on them for 10 seconds, and then they are ready to stick like crazy onto my lashline. With DUO and Revlon's glue, I had to wait upwards of 30 seconds for the glue to even become tacky.

I can also safely remove my falsies at the end of the day with a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover. There's no huge gunks of residue on the band either and I can quickly pinch off any dried glue.

Can I remind you that I'm now wearing false lashes everywhere? To the mall, to work, to bed...(jk!)

Hello! I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog. I have been searching for a new lash glue because I am thoroughly over Duo and I am kind of unsure what to get. I heard Desi Perkins rave about this, but it seems like she is sponsored by house of Lashes so idk if thats completely credible. Do you think this glue is worth the money and the hassle of getting it online?
Also, if you have some time, please check out my blog and let me know your thoughts!

Yes! It's a really good and grippy glue that isn't irritating to my eyes at all. I bought it online with no hassle (I believe shipping was pretty reasonable) and I think it's way better than DUO for how long it lasts and how it doesn't smell like rotten death, lol
